Bio:
Born in Iran, and then raised in France Omid was always inspired by music. In France, he was exposed to a new style of music and sound. However, it was not until, his family finally settled in the United States that Omid really found his calling in electronic music. The music was different then anything he had experienced before and he really felt a connection with it. He bought his first set of decks and began practicing at home. Soon after, he was spinning regularly at clubs in the Washington DC area. This generated a “buzz” around him. However, he still had a lot of creative energy and began to produce. Influenced by artists such as Sultan, and Maher Daniel, Omid’s work struck the interest of Jeff Belfi at Ascension Records. He was asked to remix “Impaired Perceptions”, by Paul Bowen for Ascension Records, due for release in 2008. His latest production is “Audio Waves” and will be released in early 2008.
